Day 1

Beginning in Mandalay, board Road To Mandalay and glide along the Ayeyarwady River on a trip that is sure to inspire.

On arrival at Mandalay, take a short trip to the Sagaing Hills and enjoy stunning panoramic views. Transfer to the ship, berthed on the Ayeyarwady River, before the ship sets sail. After lunch, you'll take a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay. Return to Road To Mandalay for dinner and local entertainment in the evening.

Day 2

Join an early morning walking tour of Shwe Kyet Yet Village before breakfast. Sail to the ancient capital of Ava and embark for tour of this historic site by horse-drawn cart. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure on the ship, with afternoon tea and on board lectures. A casual cocktail party is followed by dinner on board.

Day 3

The ship arrives at Bagan where over 2,000 temples and pagodas are scattered on an awe-inspiring plain beside the river. A guided orientation tour introduces you to the most important temples. After lunch, rejoin the tour or explore the city at leisure by bicycle or horse-drawn cart. In the evening, enjoy dinner and local entertainment on board.

Day 4

After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Yangon.

Day 1

From spiritual Sagaing to golden Mandalay, embark on a breathtaking journey of discovery on board Road To Mandalay.

On arrival at Bagan, transfer to the ship berthed on the Ayeyarwady River. After lunch, join the guide and visit the inside of some of the more significant pagodas. Late afternoon your guide takes you to watch the sun setting over a field of glowing pagodas. Dinner and local entertainment on board.

Day 2

After breakfast join the guide to explore some of Bagan's bustling local markets. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this enchanting area on your own. Relax on the ship as you begin to cruise to Mandalay and watch the fascinating river life glide by. A casual cocktail party is followed by dinner on board.

Day 3

After a morning at leisure, join the chef on top deck for a cookery demonstration as you sail past the hills of Sagaing. Disembark in the afternoon for a tour of Mingun, home to the enormous, ruined pagoda of King Bodawpaya. Dinner and local entertainment on board.

Day 4

After a short cruise, disembark at Mandalay for tour of the fabled city. Continue the tour through Amarapura to Shwe Kyet Yet village, where you will reunite with Road To Mandalay. After lunch visit the Sagaing Hills, considered to be the living centre of the Buddhist faith in Myanmar. Dinner and local entertainment on board.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, transfer to Mandalay airport for your onward flight to Yangon.

Day 1

Witness the breathtaking temples of Bagan while sampling the serene river life of the Ayeyarwady on board Road To Mandalay.

After a domestic flight from Yangon to Bagan, transfer to the Road To Mandalay. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of Bagan and watch the sunset over a field of thousands of pagodas. Return to the ship for dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast join the guide to explore some of Bagan's bustling local markets. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this enchanting area on your own. The ship anchors mid-river for the evening, providing a marvellous opportunity to observe the stars, followed by a spectacular dinner

Day 3

Relax on-board with a morning at leisure, including a cooking demonstration on the top deck. The ship moors in Mandalay late afternoon for a tour of Mingun, home to the enormous, ruined pagoda of King Bodawpaya. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.

Day 4

A full day's excursion to Maymyo, a colonial hill station set high in the mountains. A typical Shan lunch is taken at a colonial house. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment in the evening.

Day 5

After breakfast, visit Sagaing Hills, regarded as the centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar. Return to Road To Mandalay for lunch as you cruise to Mandalay. Enjoy a tour of the fabled city's key sights before returning to the ship for dinner.

Day 6

Join an early morning walking tour of Shwe Kyet Yet village. Return for breakfast as the ship sails to the ancient capital of Ava, where you'll disembark for a tour by horse-drawn cart. Return to the ship for lunch and set sail for Bagan once more, enjoying an evening at leisure on board. This evening enjoy a casual cocktail party followed by dinner on board.

Day 7

Enjoy a full day's excursion to Mount Popa, a national park and believed to be the sacred home of powerful 'Nats'. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.

Day 8

After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Yangon.
