Itinerary
Yangon Arrival
Arrive in Yangon. Meet and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, take a Yangon orientation tour. Highlights are: Sule Pagoda, Botatung Pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image, and Shwedagon Pagoda. Dinner at your hotel and overnight in Yangon.
Yangon – Mandalay
After breakfast, fly to Mandalay – the center of Arts & Crafts. Meet and transfer to hotel. Mandalay City tour including visits to Mahamuni Image. Tapestry making home cottage. Marble carving workshop. Gold-leaf Beating workshop, Silk weaving home cottage, Shwenandaw Monastery. Kuthodaw Pagoda and Mandalay Hill. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in Mandalay.
Mandalay – Amarapura – Sagaing – Mingun
After breakfast, visit Amarapura. Highlights are: Mahagandaryone Monastery, U Bein’s Bridge, Wood carving & Bronze casting workshops. Proceed to Sagaing Hill – known as the center for meditation. Visit Kaungmudaw Pagoda. Pottery Making village and Silver-smith workshops. Afternoon boat trip to Mingun. Sightseeing at Mingun Bell. Patodawgyi Unfinished Pagoda and surrounding villages. Evening dinner and overnight in Mandalay.
Mandalay – Bagan
ABagan-1fter breakfast, transfer to the jetty for the boat trip to Bagan (0630-1530) on a government Double Decker ferry. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner at your hotel and overnight in Bagan
Bagan
After breakfast, go sightseeing in Bagan by visiting: Nyaung Oo Market. Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Temple. Kyansitha Umin, Thatbylnnyu Temple. After lunch, visit a Lacquer -ware making home cottage. Manuha Temple. Myinkaba Gubyaukgyi Temple and Dhamayangyi Temple. Evening sunset view of Bagan from Shwesandaw Pagoda. Dinner and puppet show at a restaurant. Overnight in Bagan
Bagan – Popa – Kalaw
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Kalaw. On the way visit Mount. Popa – an extinct volcano known as the place for 37 nats (spirits). Lunch at Popa Mountain Resort Hotel where you will have panoramic views of the surrounding area. Then proceed to Kalaw. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Kalaw.
Kalaw – Pindaya – lnIe
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Pindaya. Sightseeing to Pindaya Cave. Traditional Shan paper and Umbrella making villages. After lunch drive to Lake Inle. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Nyaungshwe or Lake Inle.
Inle Lake
After breakfast, go sightseeing to Lake Inle by boat. Tour highlights are; Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Inpawkhone Village, Ngaphechaung Monastery, traditional ways of fishing, and Floating Gardens. Lunch at a restaurant. Dinner at your hotel and overnight in Nyaungshwe or Lake Inle
Inle – Taunggyi – Heho – Yangon
After breakfast, drive up to Taunggyi Market where one can see the various hill-tribes come down for shopping and selling fresh vegetables and all sorts of regional products. Fly back to Yangon. In the evening, take a walk through Town before a farewell dinner and cultural show at Karaweik Palace. Overnight in Yangon.
Yangon Departure
After breakfast, visit Strand Jetty to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon’s River. Then. visit Gams Mart, and Bogyoke Market – formerly known as Scott Market. In the evening, transfer to the airport for departure. End of Treasures of Myanmar
